ROAD TO MAINNET

From public DEV network to a fair VargaCoin Mainnet launch.

The current chain is a public technology preview. Mainnet starts from a new final genesis only after consensus, wallets, infrastructure and security milestones are complete.

TARGET LAUNCH

30 DEC 2026 · 18:00 UTC

This is a target, not a promise to ship unfinished consensus code. If a critical readiness item is open, the launch moves.

LAUNCH PRINCIPLES

Fair launch rules are decided before launch day.

0

Zero premine

The final mainnet genesis has no spendable founder reward. Mainnet VGC enters circulation through public proof-of-work.

Fresh mainnet genesis

DEV blocks and DEV balances are not copied into mainnet. Everyone starts on the final chain under the same published rules.

Readiness before date

The countdown is a target. Consensus safety, reproducible releases and independent nodes must pass the go/no-go checklist first.

MILESTONES

An intensive path to Mainnet before year-end.

The roadmap is milestone-driven. Completed items can be verified publicly before the final mainnet release.

15 SEP–15 OCT 2026
LIVE NOW

Public DEV Network

Run focused DEV mining, explorer, DE/EN/HU website and self-custody wallet tests. Continuous DEV hashrate is not required; the goal is to expose faults quickly.

  • Keep DEV coins explicitly separate from future mainnet coins.
  • Publish known limitations, issue status and targeted test windows.
  • Measure real ASIC behavior across Bitaxe/Avalon-class miners.
16 OCT–10 NOV 2026

Consensus & Difficulty Hardening

Replace DEV-only difficulty behavior with the final adaptive mainnet difficulty design, then simulate sudden hashrate rises, drops and timestamp edge cases.

  • Disable DEV min-difficulty behavior for final mainnet.
  • Freeze and test the final difficulty-adjustment algorithm.
  • Run reorg, stale-block and low-hash recovery tests.
11–30 NOV 2026

Infrastructure & Wallet RC

Prepare independent launch nodes, bootstrap/seeds, monitoring and Windows/Linux release candidates.

  • At least three independently operated/sited full nodes for launch readiness.
  • Windows and Linux VargaCoin Core packages with hashes.
  • Backup, restore and full-resync drills.
01–10 DEC 2026

Mainnet Release Candidate

Freeze candidate consensus, publish the reproducible zero-subsidy genesis and run the dedicated Mainnet release-candidate network.

  • Freeze final address prefixes, ports, message magic, activation heights and genesis data.
  • Final emission/supply verification and coinbase maturity tests.
  • Publish source tag/checksums, finalize Mainnet Technical Specification v1.0 and freeze the explorer integration API.
11–23 DEC 2026

Code Freeze & Fair-Launch Preparation

Complete code freeze, independent verification and the public Mainnet launch campaign with final DE/EN/HU documentation.

  • Final security review and zero open critical consensus issues.
  • Publish the exact Mainnet time, miner announcement and fair-launch procedure.
  • Technical Paper/project documentation and operational/legal review completed.
24–30 DEC 2026
GO / NO-GO

Final Launch Window

Run the final GO/NO-GO window: verify final binaries, independent nodes, pool, explorer, wallet and launch monitoring before public mining opens.

  • No reward-bearing Mainnet block is mined before the announced start.
  • Final zero-subsidy genesis, source tag and release hashes are published transparently.
  • Launch only if every critical checklist item is green.
DEV ARCHIVE

DEV blocks are not deleted when Mainnet starts.

They remain part of the separate DEV chain. DEV balances do not carry into Mainnet, but the project plans to preserve the DEV node/explorer as a read-only historical archive so early mining and testing remain verifiable.

What happens to your DEV wallet?

Your keys and addresses are not erased, but Mainnet starts with a new ledger and zero Mainnet balance for DEV holdings. A fresh Mainnet wallet is recommended at launch to avoid confusing the two networks.

DEVArchive only
MAINNETFresh genesis · fresh balances
GO / NO-GO

Mainnet does not start until these are green.

Final difficulty algorithm tested under extreme hashrate changes
No critical consensus or wallet issues open
At least three launch-ready full nodes and working peer discovery/bootstrap
Explorer, pool and wallet verified against final release candidate
Linux/Windows release artifacts, source tag and checksums published
DEV balances excluded; final genesis has zero premine/founder allocation
Launch-day runbook and rollback/incident procedures rehearsed
AFTER MAINNET

Stability first, exchange listings second.

The first days focus on chain health, independent miners, nodes, wallet behavior and reorg monitoring. Exchange integration follows only after the mainnet demonstrates stable operation.
